Beschreibung: The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently
implementing the project Waste to Positive Energy / Sludge Management in Zaatari and
Azraq Refugee Camp (SMZA) in Jordan. As part of this project GIZ intends to award
a contract for the Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Operation (optional) of
Sludge Management Facility in Zaatari Refugee Camp - Consisting of Sludge Pretreatment
and Gravity Thickening, Mechanical Sludge Dewatering, Treatment of Backload Liquors
and Greenhouse Solar Sludge Drying The scope of work includes the following: 1) The
Contractor shall in general fulfill all the duties of the "Contractor" as specified
in the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant, Design and Build (Yellow Book) for
the system detailed design, construction, testing, and commissioning. The Contractor
shall prepare a detailed design based on the conceptual/functional design prepared
by the project Consultant which shall ensure that the sludge treatment facility meets
the design criteria. Moreover, the tender documents prepared by the project Consultant
will include, but not limited to: design criteria, Employer"s requirements, technical
specifications, and drawings. 2) The Works to be designed by the Contractor shall
be capable of processing the incoming (received) sludge flows presented in the table
below: 1. Septic tank sludge Septic sludge from PRC septic tanks and emergency tanks
of sewerage pumping stations of Za'atari Refugee Camp (typical 2-6% DS) Annual sludge
flow (Parameter) | m3/a (Unit) | 18,250 at 3.8% DS (Design Value) Average daily sludge
flow (Parameter) | m3/d (Unit) | 50 at 3.8% DS (Design Value) Maximum daily sludge
flow (Parameter) | m3/d (Unit) | 182 at 3.8% DS (Design Value) 2. WWTP sludge Septic
sludge from PRC septic tanks and emergency tanks of sewerage pumping stations of Za'atari
Refugee Camp (typical 2-6% DS) Annual sludge flow (Parameter) | m3/a (Unit) |63,510
at 1.5% DS (Design Value) Average daily sludge flow (Parameter) | m3/d (Unit) |174
at 1.5% DS (Design Value) Maximum daily sludge flow (Parameter) | m3/d (Unit) | 261
at 1.0% DS (Design Value) 3) The required sludge treatment works are as follows include
all associated civil works, mechanical and electrical works: - WWTP Sludge Transfer
Stations- two (2) sludge pumping stations provided for transferring WWTP sludge from
the existing sludge storage tanks of Za'atari WWTP to the Sludge Pre-treatment Station
