Titel: Second H2Global Auction Round - Asian Lot (ASL)
Beschreibung: This auction procedure is part of the H2Global mechanism, an instrument for competition-based support of the market ramp-up of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives (renewable methanol and ammonia). The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) provides funding for the H2Global instrument, which is implemented by Hintco. Hintco will therefore acquire renewable hydrogen or its derivatives (renewable ammonia or methanol) on a long-term basis (up to 10 years) by conducting auction procedures. A contract (Hydrogen Purchase Agreement - HPA) will be awarded for this purpose. Hintco will conclude the HPA in its own name and for its own account. The renewable hydrogen must be produced for each specified lot in Africa (African Lot - AFL), Asia (Asian Lot - ASL), South America & Oceania (South American & Oceanian Lot - SAL) or North America (North American Lot - NAL). Hintco requires that the product is produced using renewable energy and in compliance with sustainability requirements (RFNBOs – EU-Directive 2023/2413; EU-Delegated Regulation 2023/1184; EU-Delegated Regulation 2023/1185). Funding of 58.7 million per year is already available for the years 2028 to 2035, with 15 million allocated for 2036. Additional funds are still subject to approval by the German federal parliament in 2025’s federal budget. This information is of a purely preliminary nature. The intention is to inform the market about upcoming auctions at an early stage. The preliminary nature of the information includes, in particular, but is not limited to, the information on the actual funding amount and the update status of the contract documents, their annexes and the auction documents.

Zusätzliche Informationen: Hintco will conduct an auction procedure in accordance with European requirements (Guidelines on State aid for climate, environmental protection and energy 2022 (2022/C 80/01)). Hintco strictly adheres to the principles of non-discrimination and transparency in order to ensure a high level of competition during the auction. Further information on the auction procedure can be found in the published documents. The auction procedures are designed to be product-open. Producers can therefore supply renewable hydrogen or renewable ammonia or renewable methanol to Hintco. Further information can be found in the documents published on Hintco’s website. The auction process will be carried out in stages. In the first stage, Hintco will assess the eligibility of the candidates with regard to the subject of the auction. Interested companies must first submit a request to participate. Hintco will then invite all suitable candidates who have submitted an eligible request to participate to a non-discriminatory negotiation process that will take place before the submission of a bid. Hintco will evaluate all bids and may award multiple contracts per lot. The award criteria for the bids will consist of 90 % volume weighted average price and 10 % maximum optional delivery quantity. Companies may submit requests to participate and compete in the auction processes for multiple lots, provided that they meet the necessary requirements.
